Some things are worth a little extra effort.
It is part of our programme to reuse whatever we can. But when we can't reuse something, we are all too aware that recycling is the next best option. Traditional plastic blister packs are made of PVC. It is not biodegradeable, cannot be recycled, and produces deadly fumes if it is burned.
So we use PET, which is one of the easiest plastics to recycle. It is chemically and toxicologically inert, and as such poses no harm to the environment.
